Home Care Package Pricing

What is a HCP?

A Home Care Package is a subsidised program funded by the Australian Government to help meet your needs to remain in your own home. The Government pays a subsidy amount to an Aged Care Provider depending on the level of Home Care Package that you have been granted.

How can CiMaS Help Me?

CiMaS provides a range of services to help you live at home on your own terms, including personal care such as hygiene, home duties, meal preparation, respite care and nursing services.

At CiMaS we have a designated Home Care Package coordinator for clients to talk to and discuss individual preferences for a tailored care plan and budget and ensure services adapt to changes in circumstances.

A nurse-led Clinical Governance Committee meets weekly to review client notes and feedback This process allows us to regularly monitor the knowledge and skills of our team and the quality of services delivered.

As a Provider, CiMaS will give you a budget that informs you of the amount of subsidy you have been allocated and how that subsidy will be spent. Below is a list of fees and charges that can be deducted from your subsidy.

If you are not eligible for the subsidy, you will be required to pay for Home Care Package services out of pocket. CiMaS offers very reasonable pricing for those who wish to pay for a package independently. If you are interested, contact us to discuss a reduced fee.

Package Management Fees

All Home Care Package clients are subject to the Package Management Fees. This includes administration of your
financial records such as processing of invoices, monthly statements, and client budgets.

health related needs organised by our Service Navigator.

      • Coordination and scheduling of services
      • Providing a point of contact and communication services

Alternatively, you may decide to manage your package yourself, If you are interested, please contact us to discuss a reduced fee.

Income Tested Fee

This is a contribution that you pay for services you receive that is based on what you earn and is determined by the Government. If you are not in receipt of a full Aged Care or Defence Services pension you will need to submit an income test form to Centrelink. The Government will determine how much they will pay of the Home Care Package and how much you will be asked to pay.

Cancelation, Suspension and Termination of Services

When a service is scheduled, a significant amount of time has been committed to the coordination of
that service to meet your needs. Cancellations create another cascading effect of ongoing costs incurred by our
obligations under the workers industrial awards.

We have a number of cancelation categories that meet a fair balance between your needs and our requirements.

Cancellation without penalty:

An appointment may be cancelled without penalty if more than 24 hours notice is
given.

Short notice cancellations:

A short notice cancellation is when we receive less than 2 business days or 24 hours’
notice of the cancellation. A fee of 100% for the cancelled appointment will be levied on the client’s next
invoice.

Suspended Services:

Services may be suspended without penalty for a period not exceeding 3 months by
providing CiMaS with at least 2 weeks’ notice.

Suspension of Services:

Services will be deemed to be suspended if more than 1 day of services are cancelled.
Cancellation periods that fall over weekend hours: When a cancellation notification period (24hours) falls over
weekend hours, these hours will not be included as hours available to provide sufficient notice to cancel
services.

Terminating Services:

Services may be terminated for any reason with 2 weeks’ notification.
